A tourist visa is a type of visa that allows a foreigner to enter a country for the purpose of sightseeing, vacationing, exploring culture or visiting friends.
Original passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of entry and have blank pages for visa.
Visa application form: The application form must be filled out completely and accurately, and signed by the applicant.
ID photo: Size and requirements regarding background, clothing, and shooting time must comply with the regulations of each Embassy/Consulate.
Other personal documents: Identity card/Citizen identification card, Household registration book, Birth certificate, Marriage/Divorce certificate (if any).
The purpose of this section is to demonstrate that you have sufficient financial means to cover your trip and will not become a burden to your host country.
Savings book: Savings book has a minimum balance required by each country (usually from 5,000 USD or more).
Bank account statement: Personal account transaction statement for the last 3-6 months to prove stable income.
Other assets (if any): House ownership papers, cars, stocks, etc.
This is an important part to prove that you have a stable and committed job in Vietnam, thereby showing that you will return after your trip.
If you are an employee:
Labor contract or appointment decision.
Certificate of employment at the company.
Leave application with company confirmation.
Salary statement for the last 3 months.
If you are a business owner:
Business registration certificate.
Company bank statement.
Tax receipts for the last 3 months.
If retired:
Retirement decision or pension book.
Retirement card.
Detailed travel itinerary: The planned itinerary includes the places you will visit and the length of stay at each place.
Return flight confirmation: Airline reservation (no payment required) to prove departure and return dates.
Hotel Reservation Confirmation: Hotel reservation (no payment required) or proof of accommodation.
Travel insurance: Some countries, especially those in the Schengen area, require travel insurance.
Determine the type of visa and where to apply: Carefully research the requirements of the country you want to go to, where to apply (Embassy, Consulate, or authorized application center such as VFS Global, TLScontact...).
Prepare documents: Collect and notarize all necessary documents.
Make an appointment: Contact to make an appointment to submit application and interview (if any).
Submit application and interview: Arrive on the scheduled date and time to submit application, have fingerprints taken and have a photo taken.
Waiting for results: The processing time can take from a few days to a few weeks depending on the country.
